i fucking love this film. it's got gore, the start of jason vorhees, full on female bush, sex, violence, comedy and a strong leading lady. for this film they take the formula (which was still kind of new) from part 1 and just did everything a little better. gorier, more kills, better editing, better cinematography, mostly better acting, more original kills, more sex, better villain, better entertainment. one of the best slasher films out there, hands down!!! production design: 8 out of 10 cinematography: 7 out of 10 re-playability: 10 out of 10 originality: 6 out of 10 costumes: 9 out of 10... read

this is an improvement from the original in almost every way. can't help but compare them, so this whole review is just gonna be me comparing them. the film actually feels like it had some respect for your time and doesn't waste it. with the exception of the first ten minutes, every scene feels like it has at least some purpose deeper than padding the runtime. a lot of characters are much better acted and written. i actually gave a shit about some of them and still remember them once the movie ended. the final fight felt like it had much higher stakes that i was actually invested in. more read
