this movie has aliens that are more relatable than the humans because a) i hate loud noises and b) giving birth to a baby on a planet where if you make a noise an alien will eat you sounds a lot more like making dinner for aliens. anyway don't you just love it when cillian murphy goes to a place where everyone is living happily bbq-ing minding their business and he singlehandedly cauaes the annihilation of its entire population. read more

good locations, good shots, good camera work, thats where the good ends, the first movie was flawed by really good tonally, but this was just a train wreck, the pace was awful, the character decisions are just so forced and dont make sense, the intro scene that shows day 1 was a huge missed opportunity, im just disappointed 3/10 read more

The surviving members of the Abbott family try to stay alive and share the alien-stopping device they've concocted in the previous episode with other humans. This is Alien vs. Aliens all over again. A great claustrophobic movie being followed up by an action movie. Still some nice moments but overall it doesn't come near part 1. Day 1 was pretty interesting to see and makes me interested to see the Day 1 movie they plan on making. Bonus points for Cillian Murphy being great as usual. Mom shushing her son like it's nothing. He stepped in a fucking bear trap while you only stepped in a little nail smh. read more

Extremely enjoyable follow up to the first. The perfect example of a necessary sequel that adds to the story and continues the story without coming across as a cash grab. I'm good for a third film with the same team. read more

i watched these movies back to back and i think that helped me enjoy this a lot more, i loved cillian murphy and millicent simmonds together they really carried this movie imo, the b plot with the rest of the family looking for oxygen wasnt as interesting to me but i dont recall bored at any point - definitely recommend if u were a fan of the first read more

It definitely is a worthy sequel considering the horror genre. It is a great thrill ride and a theatre experience. The acting is great and John Krasinski has proven himself to be a great director. But (spoilers) there indeed are some problems like the Monsters are less scary as we know how to defeat them which is not major problem as Krasinski made the first one as one-off movie.
