What happened to Kingsman? The first film while not perfect was so fun. The second one I don't remember, may not have finished it. Just remembered that I hated it. I'm now 25 mins into The King's Man and I literally can't watch any longer. It was pretty good until the villains showed and then it plummeted. Shame it has a great cast. But no thanks. read more

Beautifully conceived, The King’s Man is a magnificent mélange of James Bond and Indiana Jones based on the original comic book spy stories. A wide-ranging jaunt twisting through the key points of The Great War, laced with humour and historicity - a fabulous spy story stirring a gamut of emotions such as funny, tragic and exhilaration. Many cultural references run through the movie such as the Wilfred Owen poems and the 1812 Overture playing during the Rasputin duel, indeed the soundtrack choices are on-point and complement the action.

never boring, but certainly awkward for the majority of it's 131 minute run time. a good 80 of those minutes are spent flicking back and forth between jarringly disparate tones. on one hand, the king's man would have you convinced that it's an absurdist send-up of its own genre ilk, and on the other hand it treats the rest of its material with the dire seriousness of an oscar-bait wwi movie. it's not that neither one is entertaining, it's that there's no synergy between them. it's not just a tongue-in-cheek spy jaunt set during war time, no, it's a full on spy comedy here and a grisly war read more

yeah i know this movie have a lot of problems. but i had actually a good time. the chracters are likeabel the plottwist was unexpected the fights scenes are good. yeah i wouldnt really recomend it but it was fun nothing else. read more

kingsman, the pre-sequel. this one is slightly more grounded than the first two films but still carries a similar style, especially in the action. using wwi as a backdrop for the story is fine, but it doesn't really branch out from there. still enjoyable, and maybe we'll get another pre-sequel? read more

The Kings Man hasnt got the same style & feel as Secret Service, but still serves up a unique entry on its own! Is it good when the comedy, modern-day setting & the well loved Eggsy character are missing? The movie really starts getting good when the Rasputin action sequence starts! Rhys Ifans does a great job with Rasputin. The mid credits scene is awesome and gives a lot of potential for The Kings Man 2! The mid credits scene still takes place in the 1910s. The Conrad character persuading his dad to let him to sign up for war was also a great thing put in here, as his dad knew what war... read more

My quick rating - 5;8/10. I have been a fan of the previous one so looking forward to this one. There is definitely a degradation of quality going on in this series. Typically happens though so not unexpected. But this one is a distant third since it really didn't even feel like it had much to do with the first two. I realize they were attempting to give the story of the society's creation but instead of being a prequel story; we are given a montage of what played out like various scenes stitched together. Looks amazing and I do like the retelling of WW1, but that's were the positives for this movie stop. There are 5 million characters, but somehow I care for none of them. I have no idea what the story is or where it's going. Surprised they didn't do a WW1 version of the bar fight since they've shown they love milking that scene in the previous 2 movies. Also, fuck those accents. Rasputin is pretty cool. Sad they killed him off so quickly cause he was by far the most interesting villain. read more
