i first saw this movie with a few friends on opening night at my local cinema. i thought it would be great, some of my friends did too. when it was over we all walked out. no one liked it but me and my one friend (both avid carpenter fans) were even more disappointed. i remember one scene where bees or something had come out of a cave. it was the worst looking special effect i had ever seen on the big screen. it literally looked like a photo still put up on the screen with the sound of bees playing in the background. suffice to say, having nearly completed the john carpenter filmography i read more
