an extraordinarily long name for a comic book adaptation, "the league of extraordinary gentlemen" (luckily lxg is also allowed). usually the films in this currently so hugely popular genre can do with one word: superman, batman, spider-man, hulk, x-men. but lxg is also not a film adaptation of a comic, but a "graphic novel". that has a slightly more literary connotation, and that is a little right in this case because of the source material for lxg consists of the unadulterated evergreens of 19th-century literature: the picture of dorian gray, 20,000 miles under the sea, dr. jekyll and mr.... read more
