the film that reinvented the zombie as well as the film that made danny boyle who he is today. this movie is just fantastic. filled with horror, violence, gore and heavy themes i just never get bored with this film. so entertaining, so smart and so original. 6 films into a career and boyle has never been better. i find it amazing that the low-fi digital camera work is so prevalent in the beginning (and almost distracting) and by an hour into the film you are so invested in the story and characters you forget about it and it almost seems like you are watching film. or maybe that is just me?... read more

film #3 in operation: rewatch my blu-rays i havent seen in a long time twelve years later, danny boyle's not-zombie film still holds up. a solid script is lifted by great performances from cillian murphy, naomie harris, christopher eccleston, brendan gleeson and megan burns. the gorgoeusly gritty and bleak cinematography shines, the score works and boyle's direction is spot-on. just a great movie altogether. read more

the zombies were one of the most scariest zombies i ever seen in zombie film. however, it bugged me that a man who woke up from a coma could run away fast enough from zombies let alone fighting with soldiers in the middle of zombie outbreak. read more

this was absolutely mind blowing when i first saw it. fast zombies?! get outta here! what ya talkin about fast zombies for? that's ridiculous! but no. those speedy fucks were here along with some incredible music and some damn fine acting. the only knock on this movie is that it looks like dog shit.. boyle says it was a creative decision to use a garbage ass digital camera... and that's fine.. you do you danny.. but it's washed out and looks like shit. it drives me crazy honestly but i can forgive it. 28 days later holds a special place in my heart. it was one of those movies that led me down... read more
