Plot summary:

Dory is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species. Dory now knows that her family reunion will only happen if she can save mom and dad from captivity.

a sequel that had some nice moments. the support characters like destiny, hank and bailly were fun. this was just made for the cash and it was clear to see with a sloppy story. not even close to finding nemo! read more

surprisingly good kids fare that has something for everyone. the beluga and octopus are hilarious. i should add an extra half star for the beautifully rendered, touching pre-movie sideshow, piper, but that would not be fair. read more

pixar may have had a bit of a rough time for a bit, but it's fair to say they're back near top form. few films have made that clearer than finding dory, a film that combines the studio's patented blend of humor, adventure, heartwarming antics and emotional gutpunches. no one was really dying for a sequel to finding nemo, a fine film that seemed perfectly complete where it ended. what's more, while dory was one of that movie's highlights she also seemed like the kind of character who would (excuse the fish pun) flounder when positioned to lead a film. trust writer-director andrew stanton to... read more

Even Pixar's B-material is great. While full of lazy plot holes and easy nostalgic references to the much better 'Finding Nemo', the animation is great, and it boasts plenty of laughs and thrills. read more

i went in just to see ellen degeneres tour de force performance that critics have been praising and was not disappointed; degeneres voice acting is truly heartbreaking. and its interesting that a middle-aged woman is leading this pg-rated animation. wouldnt quite go so far as to call it a feat, but still its something. the film itself is, as i expected, alright -- its not bad, but not brilliant either. there are some chuckle-worthy moments, but the film on the whole remains as safe and generic as animated sequels typically go. the story is a bit flawed, or rather, messy, in that it divides... read more

This was beyond worth the wait of so many years. I enjoyed this beginning to the very end. Watching it was just like watching the first film and filled me with so much joy. An amazing sequel to an amazing film. Well done Disney. Well done. read more

The sequel to the hugely successful "Finding Nemo" and like that movie I didn't think much of it. The storyline was lame and at times I thought the animation was not up to todays standard. There is quite a lot of actors/actresses who lend their voice talents led by Ellen De Generes. Its going to be more appreciated by the kids and at the end of the day that's who it is made for. read more
