Alright, so I finally caught The Flash and I have some thoughts. It's a wild ride, trying its hand at the Flashpoint storyline, and it's definitely an interesting take. But let's get real, it's not all sunshine and rainbows.
First things first, some of the dialogue is downright cringe-worthy. I mean, seriously? Did they not have anyone to do a final check before filming? And let's not even talk about the CGI. It's so bad that it's almost laughable. I mean, come on, guys, we're in 2023, and we've seen some mind-blowing special effects. Can't we do better than this?
Now, here's something that bugs me. Barry, our speedy hero, always strikes this weird pose before zooming off like a slingshot. It's just awkward, and it makes Grant Gustin's version of The Flash look way better. Why can't they get the running part right without the extra theatrics?
And don't even get me started on the jokes. They're forced, man. It's like they're trying so hard to be a Marvel movie, but it just doesn't work. I miss the good ol' dark and brooding DC vibes. Barry can be funny, sure, but when they constantly interrupt the flow to force a chuckle, it just ruins the momentum.
Now, one thing that's cool about The Flash is the whole multiverse deal. There are some sweet cameos and nods that make it worth the watch. If you're a fan of Across the Spiderverse, you'll find some similarities here. But let me tell you, the villain is a letdown. We all had expectations, right? But nope, they had to go and create a Savitar wannabe that falls flat.
Look, I appreciate the effort, but it's clear that The Flash needed more polish. They could have focused on character development and brought in a villain we all know and love. It's not like there's a shortage of awesome Flash villains out there. It's a shame, really.
Overall, The Flash is a mixed bag of fun and frustration. It has its moments, and the multiverse concept is pretty awesome. But the cringe dialogue, lackluster CGI, and disappointing villain just bring it down. It's worth a watch if you're a die-hard Flash fan, but don't go in with sky-high expectations.
