One of the best anime there are.

Fantastic story I haven't seen in other anime

There is much that this rich story delves into but at it's core, it's a tale about personal growth for each of it's core characters as well as an examination of what it really means to be immortal in a world of mortals. This is against a backdrop of action/adventure, fights, quests, and a wide variety of adventures. I feel there could be a bit more world building  in terms of how elements make a cohesive whole. But this seems almost nitpicky since the world building we do see has variety, is fun, and entertaining. Solid pacing all around in fact.

In summary, I loved the shorter stories, the longer arcs, and the sub plots that stretched along the whole tale.

The animation is very good

While I wouldn't call the animation spectacular, it is still very good overall imo.

The sound is also good

The music is decent and the voice acting is excellent.

Strong characters that I became invested in

Since this is primarily a tale about character growth, it makes sense that effort be made to have rich characters. While I feel occasionally they get a bit too tropey, overall I loved them.

One of my all time favorite anime

There's humor, action, adventure, great characters and many well told stories against a longer backdrop of various sub plots. I almost didn't watch this gem. There's enough depressing stuff in the world and so I avoid depressing or tear jerker content and I thought that's what this would be. While I did water up a little here and there, this was an infrequent thing. This is primarily a happy tale with a very tiny bit of bittersweet. I love this show and hope they maintain the quality and smart story telling.
